Metra bicycle blackout announced for Thursday, June 18

Due to the Blackhawks parade, no bicycles will be allowed on trains all day Thursday

This is silly. The most crowded trains will be the ones on which bikes are not allowed anyway due to rush hour.

Yup - like all INBOUND trains in the morning. Sounds like Iggi needs to take some train pictures.

I couldn't get on the CTA blue line at Jefferson Park today either.

My Metra train was so crowded yesterday morning that just getting on (without a bike) was a ridiculous proposition. Made me grateful to have CTA (bus/red line) as a solid Plan B.
