My sympathies to anyone else who got burnt by expecting it to be functioning, or waited on terminal hold to get info about whether the whole system was down or just some stations.

You'd think there would be a mention on their site.....so how do I know when things are working again?

News to me...worked fine at 6:40am today.

Last night I was going to Divvy but all 3 bikes at the Daley Center had the red light on so I ended up not. Did all bikes have the red light during the outage?

I know it was systemwide because someone I met up with last night was told by a Divvy worker.

Two stations I tried (Streeter/Navy Peer and 21st/Western) had the yellow light come on and beep, but never turned green.  The display on the Streeter station (40 bikes) had some sort of not in service message.... too dark to see if the one at Western did too. The stations I was able to use still weren't working right--- the green light never went off when I put the bike back, and I had to try a bunch of bikes before I got one out when I took one.  My trip is recorded properly on the site.

I had a similar experience yesterday at the field museum station. Tried to do a quick dock/undock and it locked up (had a combination of yellow & green lights). When I moved to another bike so I could get to the office the other bike just sat at a yellow light, would not move to green. Ended up calling (after a 10-15min wait on hold) everything appeared to be reset remotely and I was able to unlock a bike an continue.

I had a similar experience at Kinzie/State on Monday night - tried to get bike and got yellow light that never switched to green. Another guy at that location had the same problem. Had no time for a customer service call. Needed to jump on a bus right away so I wouldn't miss my Metra train.

I was on hold for about 10 minutes but had limited battery and needed my phone for a few more hours before getting home.  Their hold message and music is among the worst I've experienced.
