Anyone know how the lakepath is today? Snowy/icy/slushy, or clear?

Thinking of riding north tonight.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere and I missed it.

It is in good shape from North Avenue Beach going north to Montrose.

Dry as a bone and salted North ave to Ardmore

@ChicagoParks does a exceptional job clearing the path and should be commended every chance we get

Ice blocked North to Oak from the weekend storm.

Check #Chilft

Participants tend to post reports about conditions after the fact on previous evening/morning commute on days that are notable (when people get to work/home)

Totally forgot about #chilft (#bikechi had come up dry for me).

Thanks for the responses. I ended up Red Lining, but I did Divvy home on Clark/Southport/Cortland/Paulina/Milwaukee and all were great.

Thanks Michael! This is great. I am going to see if I can get this feed to appear on our homepage so that we can connect with the information.

Active Trans now has a Twitter feed with info. I haven't tried it yet. Found this on my FB feed from DNAinfo. It could be a great resource.http://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20150216/river-north/lakefront-trail...

The Lake Front Trail south of the Loop has been clear all week, it has been really great. My only concern is the 47th st pedestrian bridge, it hasn't really been touched. I finally put in a 311 request, so hopefully the parks district will clear it today.

ATA's been publishing that since 2011.  Also monitored by MassUp.

Thanks! If you look on the homepage, I've added the Twitter feed for the LFT conditions. Seems like a good idea for the duration. Stay warm!
