Today, April 6, 2020 Jon Gottlieb passed the 100,000 miles mark in career cycling.  The last 44 miles were on an improvised street route since the Lake Front Trail was closed by police order during the current biological insanity.  Nearly empty streets. Probably the only good thing to come out of "shelter in place".

The event took place just 8 days shy of the 44th anniversary of the first bike ride along the Chicago Lake Front.  Boy, have things changed since then.

According to the Active Transportation Alliance I'm the first of what soon will be many to accomplish this feat.  This includes several people encountered on the Lake Front Trail who are somewhere between 60-80,000 miles to date.

Good luck to everyone.
