a cheap or preferrably free set of handlebars much like this...do you have one kicking around?

***EDIT***

ok...so im a dumdum, and i come to you with another plea for help...

i got the handlebars from wes...but they dont fit the stem (quill with removable face).

so i grabbed one of my other quill stems from a bianchi...handlebars fit fine, but the quill wont fit in the steer tube.

does anyone have either solution laying around they can help me out with...either handlebar with no swell at the attachment point (does that have a name), or a quill that will work properly for handlebar and steertube?

french road so i'm guessing 26.0 mm

dont have a caliper to check but i think its 1"...used on a schwinn cruiser with old bmx style stem.
If you can't find a freebee consider this -$10 or so after shipping from Amazon if you want to just buy a set. I have this exact same bar on my bike. It's a bit wide for my tastes but it can be cut down some -I took about 2" off of each side on mine so as to fit the bike more easily between traffic.

These bars made my older Ross chrome mountain bike rideable as the stock bars were so far forward and LOW they were killing me. The bike was made for downhill MTB-ing and worked great for that back in the day, but riding around as a commuter it was torture. Best $10 I spent (actually it was more like $14 back then, it's gone down).

You might be able to go to your LBS and have them order you a set or they might have a set laying around. No reason it should be more than $10 for a steel Wald handlbar set.
edit bump
A good place to start is Sheldon Brown's Page on Stems.

If you could borrow a micrometer or caliper and get the sizes of both the handlebar and quill it would help a lot as the number of permutations starts to get higher with two different unknown measurements.

Knowing exactly what you need might make it easier to find someone who has one laying around.
