My daughter and I were riding after meeting for dinner and saw the over sized ball in thy sky before the eclipse. The large moon was striking and very visible in the city. Later, on my ride home the eclipse began.  At one point I saw the formerly large ball was just a crescent. A guy was walking his dog and  I pointed at the crescent and said, "check out the  eclipse!" He looked up and I told him that it had been a large full moon just an hour beforehand.
