i can't imagine having a lawn to maintain every weekend like my parents did, but if i ever had some land that needed mowing, e.g. the paths of a garden or a vinyard...this would be my machine:

moved from the burbs to the city just to have a smaller lawn to mow!,,,well maybe that was just one of the perks!
I should have taken a pic of the one I saw downstate, the front wheel was off and the frame welded to a mower just like that.
Interesting idea. I wish that more of my neighbors had push mowers or electric mowers. One major downside to living in a neighborhood with large lawns is all the annoying lawnmower noise.

Even worse - too many people use lawn services that use leafblowers to get the little stray bits of grass off the sidewalks. WTF?!? How stupid is that?!

We are gradually replacing areas of lawn with perennials to reduce mowing. Some of it will be drought-tolerant stuff to reduce watering.
Truly!

Leaf blowers are without a doubt the greatest evidence that humanity has more technology than it has the sense for. Stupidity on parade . . .

i guess we need a bike leaf-blower. :)

yeah, the bike lawn-mower seems a little complex and may be a struggle for the lumbar. and i'd rather have sheep and goats mowing my lawn...if i ever have a lawn. i think lawns are ugly. we don't have green carpets in our homes, but a green carpet outside? give me prairie grass and perenials any day. drought-tolerant is a good idea. perhaps some wild onions. ;)
