The flora Gene found tell help tell the story of how lovely a day it is and how lovely it was to ride to work in such conditions.  It was still lovely after I went under the viaduct on Damen just south of Fullerton and went over a pothole/crevice/sinkhole that  jarred my bicycle  and my body. I stayed upright but soon realized that both front and rear tubes had been pinched and popped notwithstanding over  100 psi of pressure.  I had only one spare tube but my fellow travelers had more. Like the Keystone Cops we proceeded to remedy the situation and one of the replacement tubes, and then another were pinched and popped in the process.  I will not point fingers and just say that I  appreciate the help and the tubes. The third tube on that tire (the front was replaced with no issue) was our last...and held. After the tragedy and comedy we remounted and went to breakfast before heading to our jobs. Sitting and eating in the sunshine our day returned to the beauty of Gene's day and all the hissing and popping became a distant  memory.  Hopefully,  the lack of a  spare tube will not be a problem  on the way home.
