I don't care if there is only a few posting on this thread all summer long... I RODE TODAY DID YOU!!!

At this point I'm not worried if I drive anyone away from following this thread, because they already aren't.  its sorta like having the whole theatre to myself.  Saw some cars, and these funny red lights hanging from poles.  there were even some really big rectangle shaped cars with lots of people in them.  Not too many cyclists out despite the nice weather.  I guess my route is not too popular.  It seems like there were more during the winter.  maybe they take the side streets now, when they couldn't then.  for some reason I just keep coming back to Clark Street, despite its angry traffic, its potholes, its buses and taxis... maybe its the straightaways, the partial bike lane... or just the stretch along the cemetery that keep me coming back, day after day after day after day after day after day after day... after day.  And you get to hear about it, day after day after day after day... even when no one is listening... I will still post that, yes....

I rode today, did you?

Yes. Yes I did.

And. I started a little late and did not get rained upon. And now I shall go to Dunkin Donuts to try the monstrosity abomination known as the peep donut.

I did not.  Got a Autumn cold in Brazil and have been fighting it for four days now.  Hopefully I'll be back in the saddle tomorrow.

@Robert Underwood.  Don't worry, this thread ebbs and tides as the seasons go.  Gene is a great photographic contributor. Some people tend to post more when the weather is at it's worst just to give a shout out or a head's up to tricky road conditions.  And some people post just to say "Yes, I rode today."

Mostly I post to entertain myself... and its part of my little morning routine.  The posts are definitely more lively during the winter when its more of a challenge to ride, and when weather conditions are all over the place.  Now its like... I rode...  nothing happened... it was fun.  no more potholes... no more fighting your way down skinny streets... just plain old lots of space asphalt.  oh, well we still have headwinds to talk about but how many times do I need to tell people that there was a headwind... LOTS OF TIMES BECAUSE IM CRAZY!  well... not officially.

Yep. Was glad to find a series of potholes I reported on the 311 site were filled in fresh today. Not claiming it was because of me, just nice to see that they were.

Alas, this Brazilian cold is tougher to shake than I thought.  No ride   ;-/

I rode. I yelled at some inconsiderate cyclists who had no etiquette and nearly merged into me. Poor lady thought I was yelling at her. Sorry, it wasn't you!
I attempted. I went to unscrew my valve to top of my tires... And somehow the entire top of my valve came off with the plastic cap?! Tire lost all air entirely. I don't know how to fix that... So now I'm waiting for the train. Which has said due for 5 min . So I'm gonna be late. Boo.
Glorious ride this am! Looking forward to the even warmer pm ride. I saw nothing but good karma happy unicorn ploop feel goodness. My favorite: a mom and dad riding bikes with their two children at Clark and 18th. (On the side walk, but the kids were younger than 10). How awesome! Start em young with the bike commuting!

Ah joy. Less layers than usual and there will be even less than that this evening.

Wow, there were a ton of cyclists out this morning on the southern LFP. Majority seemed like recreational riders, but definitely more commuters too. Keep it up everyone!

Enjoyed the calm, windless weather.
