I was awake until three last night watching reruns of Doctor Who on Youtube.  So this morning I was very tired, took the train and wore the Tom Baker scarf a coworker made for me last year.

Lovely ride this morning! Perfect winter weather!

It was beautiful out there on the lake this morning. Plus I got to see my favorite doggie swim club at the curve.

Overheated a fair bit this morning. When I got up, my phone said it was (I think) 26, so I dressed accordingly. By the time I left the house it was more like 33. I had to stop part way and delayer a bit. The strong headwinds on the LFT didn't help either. Looks like I'll get a nice push going home though.

Skip, I think you passed me on the LFP this morning.  I've got the same story to tell.  Strong winds = hard work = too much clothes.  The ride got a lot easier when I turned off the path.  Me being a pessimist and this being Chicago, I expect a strong headwind for the ride home.

I wore one of my thinner sweaters relying on the sun to keep me warm this morning.  The wind just made things slower.  If it keeps up going home will be fun, though.  It's my first night trying a new light that I kind of worry may just blind everyone.

Very helpful post Skip! I was on the edge deciding between my mid-weight and heavy jacket. I'll save the heavy jacket for the 20's that will be coming this weekend.

I Divvy'd to the 'L' this morning, so I didn't experience any of the wind on the lake front. I'm planning on Divvying all the way home tonight, though, so hopefully I catch a tailwind! Those Divvy bikes are a pain to ride into heavy wind.

I don't want to start another "winter gear" thread, but I have a comment I'd like to add... Does anyone know where the old thread can be found?
