Isn't it amazing how easily people believe they're experts on things they can't/won't do themsleves.

I had all the rain gear, too, Sue, but I agree with the pedestrians. I did not like my ride home yesterday. Of course, I could have taken the Blue line but decided I would rather ride my bike than take the train and then have to walk in it! ;-)

Last night south loop Pilsen side, the rain gear and stuff worked fine for me, but its definitely a matter of personal choice. I think it's funny how last weeks Wednesday and Thursday biking shenanigans made last night feel like a ride in the park. The sad thing is my poor chain. I've been applying triflow after almost every ride. Gripe. Gripe. Gripe.

I would like to be optimistic, but there are some "highs in the 40s" days in the forecast next week, and overnight lows in the 30s. Today, however, was officially gorgeous and am looking forward to getting in some miles this weekend.

Wheee! First off today is beyond perfect biking time! Second off, folks in town so wife took off from work which meant instead of biking from bronzeville to Lawndale, I biked the distance from Deerfield to Lawndale for the first time this year. Sorry to all the people on the Clark this am if I scared some of you shouting on your left - the weather, coffee, and extra 30 miles got me happy and shed a layer of gray sky blues.

It can stay in the high 30s to mid 40s as far as I'm concerned. It's just perfect out there at the moment. Other than the headwinds, of course.

CARA warning signs along the lake don't say when their event is other than it's this weekend. So forget using the north end of the trail and have a backup route ready to go. I'm donating blood tomorrow morning so I wouldn't be out on the trail until Sunday, anyway.
