Isn't it amazing how easily people believe they're experts on things they can't/won't do themsleves.

A bunch of pedestrians told me last night wasn't good for biking. Then again, none of them had raincoats or umbrellas. I was all decked out in the rain gear, and was perfectly fine, except for the fact the sleet stung when it hit me in the face.
I find that an AirZound works pretty well.

I suggest mounting a high-powered water gun to your handlebars and aiming for their headphones.
Skip Montanaro 12mi said:That's a feature! It's that much easier to tell that it would be a waste of time announcing that you are overtaking them. :-)
Jason said:and it seems this years crop of idiots wear the super large headphones.
I had all the rain gear, too, Sue, but I agree with the pedestrians. I did not like my ride home yesterday. Of course, I could have taken the Blue line but decided I would rather ride my bike than take the train and then have to walk in it! ;-)

One less layer . . .
Cautiously optimistic . . .
I would like to be optimistic, but there are some "highs in the 40s" days in the forecast next week, and overnight lows in the 30s. Today, however, was officially gorgeous and am looking forward to getting in some miles this weekend.
It can stay in the high 30s to mid 40s as far as I'm concerned. It's just perfect out there at the moment. Other than the headwinds, of course.
CARA warning signs along the lake don't say when their event is other than it's this weekend. So forget using the north end of the trail and have a backup route ready to go. I'm donating blood tomorrow morning so I wouldn't be out on the trail until Sunday, anyway.
Hmm, Duppie said the North Branch Trail was dry up to Tower Road. Maybe that is the ticket!
