Holiday party tonight at Boulevard Bikes, 6 - 8 pm

Folks,

Join me this Thursday, 12/23, 6-8 pm for a free in-store performance and holiday party at Boulevard Bikes, 2535 N. Kedzie in Logan Square, next to Lula Cafe.

I'll be performing Hanukkah, Christmas, Diwali and Ramadan tunes on guitar, songs about Illinois history (including the new protest song "Bring Back General Logan") and other old favorites. Maybe some friends will drop by to help me out with backing vox.

Boulevard will have some warm beverages and snacks on hand; feel free to BYOB as well.

It will also be a great opportunity to do any last-minute holiday shopping for locally-made stocking stuffers like bike caps by Kozie Prery and Floyd Boberg, and bags by Po Campo. I'll also be signing copies of my book Bars Across America: Drinking and Biking from Coast to Coast, (http://pintsizepress.info), available at the special price of $10.

You were fantastic, John. Thanks for the heads up about this event. The carolers were lovely as well. And through a serendipitous run in with the husband of a friend I may have another convert to my funny cargo bike. I'm almost at bike gang numbers.
