Well, it finally happened, I got hit by a car tonight. I was in the bike lane and the car turned right and I had no time to stop. I fell off my bike, landed in the intersection. scrapes and bruises. I am so glad I had a helmet because I felt my head hit hard.
I haven't checked the forum history, any other stories? I know many have been doored. It is amazing the adrenaline rush and then you crash. literally.

You might want to give that a read if you got any details, etc.
Take it easy recovering.
1. Quit talking about it on the internet.
2. Get a police report.
3. Get a bike shop to do an assessment on your bike ot make sure it is not damaged as well as an estimate.
4. If anything feels not OK get checked out by the doctor.
5. If you incur any costs seek legal counsel.
I'd only add to call the Crash Hotline, but Dug is right - these are the things to do.
I'd also add that if you have injuries, start a health journal (as a draft email, addressed to your lawyer) for daily updates about pain, bruising, surgeries, etc.

Keep receipts on everything. E.g., the new helmet.
Plus what everyone else said.
Seek medical attention no matter how OK you feel after a crash. Some injuries aren't obvious right away. Seek charity care if you don't have $/medical coverage.
Reach out to Lawyer Jim. He's a good guy.
The Crash Support group can be extremely helpful.
(And feel free to disappear this thread since notoriousDUG's #1 is very good advice!)
