Thanks for your help everyone.  I did get my bike today for a nice price at the used bike 
shop on Broadway I was turned onto here.  Here is a kinda bad picture.  Doesn't do it justice.  
Nice 77 Raleigh Sport 3 speed.  Love it!

If you need a seat for it.Check out Working Bikes Co-op on Western.I think it is 2434 S. Western.I know they are open on Wed from 12-7 and on Sat from 10-5.They have tons of seats for $5

Fair prices and they let you test drive without any hassle. Also gave a 60 day warranty good for parts and labor even a flat tire is included. Nice. I've looked over a few at that place and it's worth it to buy a vintage or a used "fixie" and they're really affordable.
If you can make it to that bike shop on Division in Humboldt they'll show you or help for the low, low price of $10 an hour how to fix your bike.
