Thanks for your help everyone.  I did get my bike today for a nice price at the used bike
shop on Broadway I was turned onto here.  Here is a kinda bad picture.  Doesn't do it justice.
Nice 77 Raleigh Sport 3 speed.  Love it!

woo hoo! Congrats Missy.
I love classic Raleighs. My 2nd bike was a Raleigh 10 speed when I was 10 years old. I miss that bike, but I had it in Cambridge, England and we didn't bring it to the states.
Nice :)
Congrats on your new (old) ride. :)
Great find.
I think the shop is "A Nearly New" on Broadway in the first block south of Sheridan (~2 blocks south of Irving?)
The info in the other thread mentions "Halsted north of Irving" a few times (Halsted ends south of Irving.)
Yes you're right it is Nearly New, 3826 N. Broadway. I had such a nice experience and cannot wait to recommend them. These are nice and easy going guys who seem only interested in recycling bikes. Fair prices and they let you test drive without any hassle. Also gave a 60 day warranty good for parts and labor even a flat tire is included. I will tell everyone I can about them and return my repair and bike business here. Rode my bike most of the afternoon and love it love love it!
Cool. If you can, please take a minute to give feedback here:

Just did it. I read that page after I had purchased. Thanks for prompting me to do that. I really love my bike. Getting ready to go ride it now.

Those are great bikes! I'd get a new seat ASAP though. That things looks like it'd be a literal pain in the bump after 20 minutes of riding.

Missy

If you need a seat for it.Check out Working Bikes Co-op on Western.I think it is 2434 S. Western.I know they are open on Wed from 12-7 and on Sat from 10-5.They have tons of seats for $5
The seat seems like a recliner compared to the seat I was on. It is kinda of ugly though.
