Not sure if this has made it to the Chainlink yet, but its pretty terrible that the law is so ambiguous.

Basically, you can be at fault in a dooring if you're passing traffic on the right (even if its stopped) unless you have at least 8ft of lane to the right of the stopped vehicles.

So even if you're in a bike lane and you get doored the cops can find you at fault. Lovely!

Yes, it has and Brendan has a nice analysis of why the law doesn't consider a bicycle a two wheeled vehicle in his blog which is cited in the blog you cited.
