Hi all,

Does anyone know if I can pick up one of the streets for cycling maps in person at a city office or bike shop? I have a friend coming into town in a couple of weeks and I'd like to give him one that is not in 3 pieces (mine).

Thanks!

I am sitting at my desk in the loop reading your post and looking at a Chicago Bike Map that is unused sitting here as well. If you are in the loop, feel free to contact me and you can have my map.

ATA maybe?

If you're in or near Lincoln Square/North Center, I have half a box of this year's Chicago Bike Maps...Let me know.

Any bike shop, any ward office, or Active Trans, 9 W. Hubbard.

Thanks everyone!  I'll check with my local bike shop and venture north (i'm in HP) if that doesn't work out.

Rapid Transit on north ave. has some.

If your local bike shop doesn't have it, check at Alderman Burns' 435 E. 35th Street or Alderman Hairston 2325 E. 71st Street ward offices, they'll probably have them.

Or, you can print out your own-

I called Alderman Burns office and they have them.  Looks like I get to go for a little ride at lunch!

I wonder if most alderman offices have them.  Anyone know?

In my experience, yes. I've seen them at a number of city events and offices.

You can buy a Chicago bike map for your iOS device (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad). I created the Chicago Bike Map app. It will locate you on the map and tell you where bike lanes are (also has transit information).
