Since beer and cycling seem to go together, I am posing the question: what is everyone's favorite Chicago brewery? Mine is a toss-up between Half Acre and Revolution. If we are including all of Chicagoland, then I'd go with Three Floyd's.

CHAOS!

thanks Dan!  ill piggy back off that.  we just had a homebrew competition for Lagunitas. the winner from our club gets to compete against a few other chicagoland homebrew clubs. the winner of that goes to petaluma ca and gets to brew his recipe with Lagunitas to have it served here in the chicago market. round two is on the 17th (private event). i must say, all the beers that were entered into the competition were extremely solid, delicious beers.

thanks! its a great opportunity for the winner and the club.  we had 11 5-gallon batches being judged. thats about 550 beers served and consumed in 3-4 hours. its all gone now :(

just need to keep brewing more.

Lagunitas Lil' Sumpin Sumpin is some kind of miracle. It calls itself an IPA (or at least people call it that) but my wife, who generally hates IPAs loves it.

I'm really excited about them moving to town as it makes a lot more sense than shipping their beer all over the country from one place. I'm generally opposed to carpet bagging. I seethe with loathing for Zip Car and Time Out, but this is entirely different.

Lagunitas Brewing Opening Chicago Brewhouse!

The brewhouse will be located at 18th and Rockwell. That's the old Ryerson steel mill site that's now home to Cinespace Chicago film studios, where Boss is filmed and The Playboy Club was briefly filmed.
- Construction of the brewhouse should completed by July 2013, with the first mash in in the fourth quarter 2013.
