environmental ride on 7/16

Have you ever wanted to do something to help maintain our city's parks and nature areas? I'm leading a short ride on Saturday 7/16 to give a taste of what it's like, and show you locations where ongoing volunteer projects are happening. We'll take a short tour of a couple of south side nature areas, then spend a morning volunteering at a restoration project in Washington Park. Anyone is welcome to join the ride.

Here are a few pictures to give you a hint of what the Washington Park nature area is like. We were serenaded by bullfrogs, saw a great blue heron, pulled weeds, and planted prairie plants.
