The Chainlink

Hi all,

I work in recruiting at a nonprofit organization called Skills for Chicagoland's Future. There are nearly a quarter million unemployed job seekers in the area and our mission is to decrease that number as much as possible. Our way of accomplishing that is by connecting employers with the best qualified talent in the unemployed/underemployed pool.

Last year we placed about 20 Rebalancers at Divvy to help them jump start the bike sharing program in the city. Rebalancers are the people driving the Divvy vans around making sure each station has the right amount of bikes ready for use. A downside we saw with this opportunity is the fact that it slows down during the winter and therefore is a seasonal job. What we have done to solve this is bringing together a partnership between Gap Inc. and Divvy to ensure employment throughout the year.

We are looking to hire 15 Rebalancers at Divvy who will work during the busy months from April - October and then transition to working at Gap Inc. through the winter when their retail stores have the most demand for stockers.

Here is some information about the program, if you or anyone is interested please apply online through our website. If you have any questions feel free to message me. Thanks for spreading the word. - Jake
