A few weeks ago there was a guy who got caught stealing the bleacher seats from an athletic field at Orr High School here in the city.
People have stolen sewer covers locally, too. And those things weigh a ton!
They took the chain link fencing off my back gate! Gotta be worth less than $0.50.

(The google ads to our right are so helpful!)

I've noticed the missing sewer & electrical lids too, which besides being dangerous to take, are highly illegal. A scrapyard could be shut down for taking such things, but *somebody* in the stream must be buying them.
Got a good laugh from the Google ads (which I normally ignore); thanks!
Hmmm. Those heavy old Schwinn's look good!
Chainlink fencing? WTF?

I've seen missing sewer and electrical lids on occasion and wondered who is buying them. I've also seen a few places where someone obviously tried to steal a lid and thought better of it when they discovered how heavy it was. ;)

Definitely not worth it!
