I witnessed the gruesome aftermath of a crash at the exit of the tunnel by Oak Street beach around 2 or 2:30pm yesterday.

When I walked past the rider was in a neck brace and there was literally a stream of blood running down path.  A firetruck was there, but no ambulance.  I'm really hoping the rider was ok, he did have a helmet on...

Does anyone have any information about this?

no - I was riding there also but earlier (I headed south before it got too crazy). The Avon 3-day walk was
cool but crowded.

i hope the rider is ok too.

this is a good time for the annual reminder that there are fair weather path users (of all modes of
transport) and many are unaware of safe and proper protocol.

tourists are especially unaware of these. lots patience needs to be in order

Its that time of year when the carnage at the lakefront starts. Even if you just go for a slow cruise, some knumb-nutt will make the dominos collide, and hopefully your'e not one of em.
