At the City of Chicago's Bike to Work Day Rally today, the following people/organizations were recognized for their commitment to improving bicycling in Chicago.

 

On behalf of Active Trans, we'd like to extend an additional shout out to these well-deserved awards:

 

Individuals:

Anne Alt and Gin Kilgore (both Chainlinkers and wonderful women of our community)

 

Corporate:

Goose Island (bikes, beer, local brewer/supporter, 312, mmmmmmm)

 

Community:

Wicker Park/Bucktown Chamber (Milwaukee on-street parking)

 

Special recognition:

Kinzie protected bike lane project: Ald Reilly, SRAM, CDOT team that made it happen

I could  not thing of two more deserving community members than Gin and Anne.   And everyone else on the list.... Congrats to all!

Thank you!  It was a pleasant surprise when I got word from CDOT about this.  Getting to meet Geoffrey Baer and Gabe Klein was a nice bonus.
