Chicago Based handmade wooden bike racks on Kickstarter

Hi, my name is Eric, I am trying to start a new Chicago based company that makes handmade wooden wall mounted bike racks. The company will be called Trophy Club, and I thought some of you guys might be interested in my products. I am an avid woodworker and bike enthusiast. A few years ago I started making these wall-hung wooden bike racks, and now I’ve decided to start selling them. Please check them out if you have time. Nifty. I like the one with the Chicago stars but they're all unique and interesting. Are you making use of repurposed materials?

Thank you very much. I am a very green person in general. My day job is always trying to throw away materials and wood that I feel should not go to a landfill. So, whenever possible I do take them and re-purpose the materials, but for the most part with these racks I do not. Due to the width of the wood, it is hard to find scrap hardwood with a good grain pattern, but for the unseen wood I do use wood saved from the landfill. I also started making picture frames just recently with wood saved from landfills. The lumber I do buy is always the first and second most green, quick-growing wood. I also always try to buy wood that has the FSC (an eco-friendly watch group) logo on it. I actually do have plans in the future to do an all green series with salvaged wood when available, but I don’t own a car, so it is kind of hard to pick some up at this time. ok - thanks for the very thorough answer. I will check these out more when I get the chance but unfortunately I already have some wall mounts seeing much use presently...keep up the good work this is a very cool idea and the photos are very professional.
