The Chainlink

Chi-town's Single Speed Cycle Club Link

Check out the new Meetup group that gets single speed and fixie enthusiasts together for High RPM workouts along the bike trail and even longer rides up North along Sheridan.

Great way to meet new people and drop in on a workout or two throughout the week!

Sounds good, can you elaborate more on what's involved . Are brakes required ? Is there a size limit to the rides ?

I think that its mostly new and just starting. Im hoping to have a variety of rides and workouts due to the anticipated differences in skill level.

Personally I have a single speed and both brakes and like to schedule Early morning rides with the focus being heart rate for some and miles the rest.

Working 8-5 during the week, im hoping that people will suggest afternoon rides as well that we can throw up on the calender.

Early in the morning, the trail is empty so NOT having brakes would not cause alarm or a problem. Just your preference.

looking forward to catching up on some rides.

Nice! A few suggestions... create a Chainlink group and add the events to the calendar so Chainlinkers can see it.

Thanks for the tip. I started a group but am unaware how to add events.
