I'll forever love the pics of LSD..very 'day after tomorrow'. It's hard to believe THAT much snow was on the ground.

I was x-c skiing down my street before the plows came. Yesterday I was out in my garden, doing a bit of clean-up, and actually found new leaves on a few of the hardiest plants.

The thing I remember was everyone on the block coming together and helping dig each other out. Guys with snow blowers clearing the sidewalk all the way to Irvingpark so folks could walk to the bus stop. People digging each others cars out and clearing spaces to park.

It was a real feel good moment...

but of course, I only watched from my apartment window and went outside after the hard work was done.

God bless 'em, but my back could go out shoveling that heavy snow.
