So 1 year ago I requested a bike rack in front of my office - which happens to be above Red Head Piano bar. Too many times they had me move my bike - 2 feet over - for no specific reason at 3:30pm when i leave at 5. Annoying. Finally, 2 weeks ago it was put in! (Granted I now bring my bike upstairs)

1 year to put it up - 2 days to get it down. Within 2 days there was a sign from the city saying it was being removed in 3 days and not to lock your bike to it. All my excited efforts were immediately shot down... all due to a lame piano bar that doesn't want bikes parked 10 feet to the left of the entrance. A-holes.

That is my rant. Don't go to Red Head.

you gotta love money-wasting bureaucrats. I think Chicago is king (though NYC may be worse)
Astonishing! I had the impression that part of the approval process would have involved checking with the nearby businesses.

I'd be happy to boycott the Red Head, but like Howard and the Food (w)hole, I'm already not a customer.
Lets take a Mass there or just stage a buch of cyclests with their bikes some night. Is that piano bar the one that you have to go downstairs to from the sidewalk?
How freakin' stupid is that?!?
