Yep, two polite morons. Oh, I am not supposed to call anyone who rides a bike names. O well, I wish the world was more populated by fellow such as these.

It is interesting to note that both of these "rule-breakers" were doing their scofflaw thing and "the worst happened" resulting in a collision. Both were ignoring the law but the end result was not much more than maybe a few surface bruises, minor contusions and slightly injured pride. Both seemed OK.
The whole "riding the wrong way is TOTALLY WRONG" argument is a difficult one since so many one-way streets were designed to OBSTRUCT traffic flow in such a way as to dissuade cars from venturing off of the main arterial roads and down peaceful side streets.
Chicago is famous for this as many one-way roads dump into other one-way roads coming the other way. What might be a good idea for cars may not be for bikes. Is it desirable to get the bikes off of these residential side streets and into the busy main arterials? Is that what we want because the one-way roads really make it hard to stay on back streets and avoid the busy & dangerous streets (many of which have little room for bikes) without going WAY out of one's way unless the one-ways are ignored.
One good example of this is N Green Street running parallel to N Halsted. Since Milwaukee is a great bike route with decent shared-lane marking it has become one of the major bike routes downtown from further North and West to neighborhoods like Logan Square and beyond. But it comes to an abrupt end soon after Green, and is arguably a terrible place to dump a ton of bikes since the routes from that point on suck IMHO.
But Green is a good way to get further south until it ends. My wife currently uses that route to get down as far as Monroe so she can scoot East to Clark where she works. It's not great on Monroe (or Adams coming the other way) but it does work. We are not the only ones who seem to feel that same way as there are a lot of other riders who also use this route at all times of the day I have noticed.
Green is a mish-mosh of one-way streets configured so that autos can't take this route as a "short-cut" or alternative route, and that is probably a REALLY good idea. But for bikes running either North or South I don't think it is a big problem with the added bicycle traffic. Sure it is technically illegal to run the wrong way down those sections where it is one-way but it is much safer and saner than taking other routes. Plus, the smell of chocolate on that road is really great!

How can anyone think this is funny or that the cyclist is not a total a-hole?
The guy was going the wrong way on a busy street one or no handed and not paying attention to the road in front of him and hit a pedestrian who steeped out from behind a car after having looked in the direction any possible traffic should have been coming from... '
Somebody please explain to me how the kid on the bike is not the jerk here, I would really like to know.
And before you even start I want to close to areas of discussion:
1. Unless you have never, and will never, jay walk don't get all bent over the business man not using a cross walk. Many people cross int he middle of the street, I do it myself when conditions allow, and it is something that we all need to be aware of when riding or driving. You can also see in the video he was also looking at an open street in the direction traffic should have been coming from.
2. Yes, I ride the wrong way on one ways from time to time but not on busy streets down town and when I do I pay close attention to pedestrians and cars because I am coming from a direction they do not expect there to be traffic in and as the law breaker I need to be aware that at any moment somebody could pull out in front of me because they had no reason to be looking for cross traffic in the direction I was coming from.
I would have punched the kid on the bike.

I agree.
But as far as the law is concerned the wrong way is the "wrong way."
That guy was nuts running against traffic like that. I think he might have watched Matrix 2 a few too many times ;)
