The Chainlink

Bike a Bee places honeybee hives with community gardens and urban farms all over chicago and visits them by bicycle. We haul all of our empty hive equipment and even live bees by bicycle.

Last year we had a kickstarter that helped us cover the cost of equipment, but this year we don't have much. SO we're having a fundraiser!

This sounds like an interesting evening and a good cause.  I think that is a Critical Mass night. Maybe a visit after? You should get this listed on the calender too.

Will there be any honey?  I bought ten pounds just before the farmer's market is Daley Plaza closed for the winter and I'm nearly out.

That would be great! We'll be going on until midnight, though the silent auction closes at 10pm! I'll add it to the calendar, too.

Because of the drought last year I was unable to take a honey harvest. Any honey the bees made I left with the hive so that they could have something to eat over the winter. This summer we'll have honey to sell, though!

Jana is doing great things for the community and for bee-kind - we are happy to help her in any way we can!

A complete Legacy Bikes Build will be part of the silent auction.

Bidding starts at just $500, and all profits go to Bike a Bee

Unfortunately, it looks like the Mass is going south to Hyde Park, so this might be a bit out of the way.
