Two different articles with two different stories.  Cyclist hit the taxi or the taxi hit the cyclist?

From the Trib story it sounds like the cab pulled over and shopped in front of the cyclist, who then ran into the back of the car. This happened to me once (and the cab driver, just like in this situation, left the scene). Sometimes a cab will stop very quickly without warning, leaving you little reaction time.
Reading peoples comments on the Suntimes website makes me want to start punching babies. People are such grade A douche-holes. One guy even goes as far to say he is going to start hitting cyclists on purpose. Yeowsers!!!
Love you Ryan!!! ;-)

Most of the comments on both stories are ignorant. Sounds like the cab swooped across in front of the cyclist and stopped short. I don't know how many times I've barely avoided collisions under circumstances like this.
This is why I can't read comments on those things anymore.

i love that some drivers still don't get that we as bikers also have our own separate laws one begging we need to stay on the far right or the road. Im also kind of have two side option of bikers running red lights because i know i do it when i see apposite no cars coming my way but i would not fight it i were blamed for running that light and getting struck but this has never happened and i don't hear much of about bikers getting hit for running red lights. does this happen often and Im not catching those articles?
