Premium Rush gets my vote as well one of the best newer films.
A good bit of escapist fun. I like the "what if" sequences.
Mine is "Breaking Away". I also dig "2 Seconds" as well.
This just in: TheChainLink.org/events/unreal-movie-premier
"unReal" extreme mountain bike movie, premiers free at House of Blues next Wednesday (2015.07.15).
I watched Pantani: The Accidental Death of a Cyclist last night on Netflix. Powerful. It follows the life and death of renowned cyclist Marco Pantani. After winning both the Tour de France and Giro d'talia he falls victim to addiction.
Here's one that's been overlooked so far: How a Bicycle is Made, a 1945 British film that shows the astonishing vertical and horizontal integration of the Raleigh bicycle works and the fantastic workmanship behind the amazing Raleigh DL-1, arguably the greatest bike of all time. And the utter lack of OSHA-type safety precautions is sort of astonishing in parts. https://youtu.be/T1QnA2tTitI
And, since RAGBRAI is next week, we can't leave out A Million Spokes, which is a pretty decent bit of documentary work, too. https://youtu.be/Pwf-B0mi_4I
