Any info re: fatal bicycle crash on Monday 8/22/16 involving woman (mid-50s)?

All:

Does anyone have details on a fatal bike crash that occurred on Monday, 8/22/16 involving a woman in her mid-50s? The deceased is a relative of a friend of mine, and the friend is searching for any info about what happened.

I appreciate any details you may have to share (I don't have any additional info to share at this point).

Thanks much!

So sorry for the loss of your friend.

I know there was a pedestrian crash but I hadn't heard of a bike crash. Was this in Chicago or somewhere else?

In Chicago so far as I know. She has very limited info at this point.

Do you have any info on the pedestrian crash? It's possible that she's misinformed.

Thanks! The woman in question is younger (mid-50s).

Liz, was your friend's relative name, Cynthia Tatmam, 56, of Chicago?
If you look at this Ch.2 news story it has a few bicycle rental signs in it where she was struck while jogging.

CHICAGO (CBS) — "A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while jogging Tuesday morning in the Norwood Park neighborhood.

CBS2’s Irika Sargent reports Cynthia Tatman, 56, of Chicago, was running eastbound in the westbound lane in the 6300 block of West Devon just after 7 a.m., when a car swerved to avoid hitting her.

The next car was unable to react in time and struck the woman.

The jogger was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver remained on the scene.

Investigators are determining whether citations will be filed against the driver, police said."

Liz, my condolences to you and your friend.
