46th Ward Residents - Vote on Which Traffic Calming Measures You Want

Chainlinkers can help decide which traffic infrastructure improvements are made in the 46th Ward. Participatory Budgeting Expos start this weekend and Voting follows soon. Come learn about the projects at the Expos that will be on the ballot and decide which ones you'd like to fund ... up to $1,000,000. There is everything from bike lanes to an intersection redesign to choose from.

Project Expo - Saturday, April 6, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Uplift High School, 900 W. Wilson Ave., Chicago, IL

Project Expo - Monday, April 8, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Preston Bradley Center, 941 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL

Vote April 27 to May 5:

Voting Assembly - Uplift High School, 900 W. Wilson Ave., Sat., May 4, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Daily Voting - Alderman Cappleman’s Office; 4544 N. Broadway; Mon., April 29 to Fri., May 3; Mon.,Tuus. & Thur., 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wed., 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Fri. & Sat., 9:00 a.m. to Noon

I'll go with crosswalk bumpouts designed to scare drivers and force bikes into their path.

Or

Random sized speed humps that degrade to become random sized speed 'curbs' for bikes.

That's assuming a marked bike lane isn't an option.  One protected with a concrete curb is probably out of the question.
