We have a few threads here and there with introductions, but nothing organized. For this thread, post your picture, pics of your bikes, and a small blurb about yourself (favorite foods, commuting routes, etc).

I've spent the last 11 years working in bicycle shops. Filled all positions from Bike builder to Manager. I currently work at Kozy's Mega Store at 3255 Milwaukee Ave in the Avondale neighborhood. I am a BMXer at heart but also ride road, do tricks on my fixed, and can be found riding in Humboldt Park or fixing a flat caused by broken 40'oz bottles. I don't shave my legs or care how fast I go. I love to ride and I help people do the same.Me

Welcome to the Chainlink!
How is that carbon belt working out for you? I absolutely love the carbon belt on my motorcycle and I'm way intrigued with the idea of using them on bikes.

Bonjour. My name is Amanda and I just moved here from Grand Rapids, MI. I'm terrified of riding on streets. I don't own a helmet (yet). And I need to repair a flat tire.

When I'm not working I like: baking. eating. reading comic books. watching embarrassingly awesome tv shows in their entirety. playing board games. and convincing myself to drink beer (I'm doing awesome on this front). This is my baby Fiona (the Raleigh ltd-3).

Another Michigan transplant, welcome!

You should drop by a particular clothing shop, Bonnie and Clyde's, in Wicker Park. You'd like their style.

...I can only go there when they have their (infrequent!) 90% off sales!

Pleased to meetcha!

so... hey
Hi All! I met a bunch of you on last month's tour of Humboldt Park and signed up for the Chainlink, but I didn't see this thread til today.

I live in East Garfield Park and I'm excited for tomorrow's tour of my neighborhood.

I work at a software company (backstopsolutions.com - we're hiring!)

I sometimes teach swing dancing at bigcityswing.com. Swing dancing is really fun and not as hard as it seems. If you can kind of walk, you can dance!

I bike my dog to day camp using a WalkyDog.

I'm currently riding a Scott Speedster and an old Peugeot City Express. The Speedster's my first nice bike and I still need to take a pic of my baby.

Hope to meet more people tomorrow!

Jame
