1) Nu-Fred blows by me in bike lane; 2) Nu-Fred comes into corner too hot; 3) Nu-Fred crashes self in crosswalk. Must be Bike Month.

Tis the season for watching out for more riders now that winter has taken a break.

what's worse,  a Nu-Fred or a fully mature Fred?
what's great is lots of people on bicycles.

It's frustrating out there at times!

We did an interview yesterday with Good magazine talking about urban bicycling and commuting by bike...one big topic we covered was that no matter how people are getting around (by bike, walking, driving, even transit), that a lot of people are choosing to speed, recklessly endanger others and not pay attention.

If we could only all give and get respect out there, it would be so much more fun getting around.

Plus, personally, I'd love to not get passed on the right too close by people biking who are not paying attention, blowing stop signs and make the rest of look bad.

A knucklehead on a bike still poses barely one octillionth of the danger that knucklehead would be in a car. The whole fredsnobbage thing makes me bristle.
Bikes are supposed to stop for the stop signs?  I don't think so.
Yes, it is great that we are getting more people on bikes, but these darn fair weather riders have to relearn how to handle themselves in the urban streets. Just wish more of them would keep us company all year.

HA HA HA HA!
I like to play chicken with guys wearing black tights on top notch road bikes while on the LSD path. I always win at it.
This doesn't surprise me (on any level).
