A day for women interested in learning about bicycling as practical transportation. Although the event is free, space is limited. You must register at: http://wbikechi2013.eventbrite.com/#
Location details will be provided upon registration.
This event is by women for women. Women who bike, women who want to bike, and women who want to learn about biking will be interested.
The opening presentation will be by women who started biking as an adult, restarted as an adult, and restarted after a crash. There will be opportunities to learn about and try different types of bikes, and sessions on basic bike maintenance. Panel discussions will address biking with kids, shopping by bike, commuting, dressing for weather, dressing for work, buying a bike, and just plain having fun on a bike. Safety and bicycle handling sessions will also be available.
Gentlemen--have a spouse, sister, mother, daughter, significant other who needs information and or encouragement? Tell her about this.
Already an avid female cyclist? Know women who look at you in wonder and/or say "I wish I could do that"? Tell those women about this event, or, better yet, bring them to it. They will be glad you did.
This event is sponsored by the Centers for Cultural Understanding & Social Change at the University of Illinois Chicago Campus

Our ticket quota was filled by last weekend, and the wait list was full as of yesterday. We've had a few cancellations, so a few from the wait list have been offered tickets.
This is a great opportunity to email clients and coworkers. Have it included in your company's newsletter!
You know those female friends who say "I wish I could ride like you do" or "I am so jealous of you riding your bike everywhere", or something like that? Tell them about this and give them the link to register!
