This event features a tour of the Waterford Precision Cycles factory (you'll need to arrive by 8:00 AM for that) a place where good old American made steel frame bikes are still made (albiet these are not bikes for the masses, but a bike built here could last you the rest of your life).
The ride(s) will have at least 3 touring style routes to choose from with queue sheets provided, with difficulty from easy to moderate/hard. You can ride with a group or by yourself. The organized rides push off at 9:00 AM.
See here for more details and the start location:

Please confirm attendance to the ride contact listed here.
If you need automotive transport to Waterford, I'd give a shout out here and see if anyone can accomodate you. My car only fits one more bike in addition to my own.
Plan on about 2 hours from downtown Chicago, more time if you are coming from a longer distance.
Comment
I did this last year and plan on Riding it again this year.
We rode up there on Friday from Lake Zurich, Camped in Mukwonago.
Did the ride on Saturday. Rode home on Sunday.

Plan on Same this year
Can't make it. But, for those who can, an after ride side trip to Milwaukee may be 'fruitful' shall we say.
No relation to the bike or town. An owner told me it was named after the condo building that they all lived in.
