For the third year, Women Bike Chicago presents a day that is by women just for women who want to learn about riding for transportation, riding with kids, or riding just for the fun of it. This year we have formal sessions on "Bike Maintenance 101" along with some returning favorites.

We will also have the popular "Bike Zoo"which provides a chance to try all kinds of bikes including upright bikes, road bikes, commuter bikes, different types of cargo bikes, hybrid bikes. Some are provided by our bike shop partners and others are loaned by members.

Guys, do you have women in your life who need some encouragement to get on their bikes? Sometimes that encouragement is better received when it comes from other women. Tell them about this event!

More experienced female cyclists, we need some volunteers to help on the day of the event.

Finally, there is child care available so no one has to miss it because she needs someone to take care of children!

9:30 – 10:00 AM	(Hallway) Registration Meet and Greet Food and coffee
10:00 – 10:30 AM	Opening
10:30 – 11:15 AM	Bike Maintenance 101 (pre-registration) - learn basic bike maintenance - everything we can teach you in 45 minutes. Focusing on hands-on fix-a-flat	Practical Cycling - ride for commuting and errands or to social events. Learn to live “car-free” or “car-light” or just make the occasional trip
11:30 – 12:15 PM		Fashion - We'll present tweaks and considerations for wearing your everyday clothes and even dress up
12:30 – 1:15 PM	Bike Maintenance 101 (pre-registration) - learn basic bike maintenance - everything we can teach you in 45 minutes. Focusing on brake adjustments.	Bike Fit/Bike Shop - What you should know before you go and when you should walk away from bad sales people
1:30 - 2:15 PM	Planning a Group Ride – plan a theme, destination, route and what to say in your promotion posts	On Bike Safety + Ride (pre-registration)
2:30 - 3:00 PM	Closing and drawing for great prizes donated by our supporters - great bike gear, yummy treats and gift certificates to awesome shops!
