Start/Finish: Rock Island Public House, 13328 Olde Western Ave., Blue Island, Ill.

RSVP for the Graveyard Blues Tour

Please RSVP—it will help us know what we’re in for!

The Tour: By bike, we’ll roll along friendly streets to visit the Blues greats who haunt Burr OakLincoln and Restvale cemeteries in the Alsip area. Harmonica Neil and local music historian Jason Berry guide us like a two-headed Charon across the River to the other side, where the tormented souls of Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Magic Sam, Gene Ammons, Otis Spann, Earl Hooker, Hound Dog Taylor, Big Bill Broonzy, Big Walter Horton still lament for lost love, another drink, one more song.

Bring $10 donation/person (+ some tip money for Neil), your bike, a helmet, and a thirst for music. Map and schedule available at the start. Text or e-mail Steve at 708/365-9365 or steve@trailsforillinois.org if you need more info.
