Winter has finally released its death-grip on Chicago. In the spirit of spring, Schubas will celebrate Chicago’s greenest form of transportation: bicycles.
On Saturday, June 8th, local shops will be on-hand to perform tune-ups, demos and workshops in Schubas’ parking lot. We will also host a bike drive to collect donated bikes and parts for Working Bikes Cooperative.
For those attending Chicago’s Naked Bike Ride later in the evening, there will be plenty of BBQ and discounted libations from Revolution Brewing for peak physical performance. We will be raffling off cool prizes from local cycle shops, Schubas gift certificates & merchandise, and a custom Revolution Brewing bike made by The Bike Lane. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the door for $2, or RSVP on Chainlink for one free ticket.
The folks from Small Room Collective’s road show will be in-house with a vintage Airstream trailer, bringing a collection of small press and independently produced clothing, goods, art, and music. Celebrating the spirit of independent fashion and art across the country, Small Room aims to aid the fight against childhood cancer by donating part of the proceeds from their 2013 tour to the Pablove Foundation (pablove.org).
Schubas will also celebrate the occasion by throwing our bi-annual poster sale, offloading hundreds of limited-edition screen prints from artists like Jay Ryan, Kii Arens, Justin Santora, Delicious Design League, Anne Benajmin, Alex Todaro, Spike Press, and more. Guests can browse a massive selection of Schubas and Lincoln Hall back stock prints at deeply discounted prices.
Schubas Tavern, in partnership with The Chainlink and Revolution Brewing, is hosting a day of bike-centric celebrations on Saturday, June 8th from 12-4PM. Raffles will be going on through the day, so come early & stay late if you'd like to have a good chance to leave with a gift from one of our great sponsors. Admission is free; RSVP here for one free raffle ticket!

Hey, thanks everyone for coming. Great people, great weather, great time. Looking forward to next year already!
Schubas--you are great hosts! All of the sponsors and participants--you are the best of the Chicago cycling community! Chainlinkers--especially those who volunteered today--no on compares to you. Glad to know all of you.
Wow, this was a sweet gathering. Everyone is so psyched for summer riding and the clear skies ahead! Nice to see so many great people in one place. And to the gang of excited, smiling folks working the chainlink table: you guys amaze me.
We filled all the available volunteer slots. Thanks everyone and see you there!
If you are able to help out at the event, please fill out this form. We could use 4 people for the following timeslots:
11:30am-1:30pm
1:30pm-3:30pm
Hey guys, we will have a table here. I'll post the sign up form soon. Volunteers who are over 21 will get a beer!
