How about it? Let's go! Crusing speed about 14mph. I live in Wilmette but we'll be leaving from Evanston. Where we meet...Artisinal grocery on Linden Street in Wilmette. We're heading to the Wisconsin border on the Green Bay trail.

A friend of mine and I went for a 90 mile cruise to Kenosha and back. We saw 4 parades, the Kenosha water show, a guy on a penny farthing (velocipede), ate at the Marina Garden, and did part of the return trip on the Skokie Valley Trail and the North Branch Trail. All in all, we had a fantastic time!

Comment by dan brown on July 1, 2013 at 3:38am: depending on the time - I would like to do this. my gf and I are planning to watch the parade and then fireworks in Evanston that day also; not sure what time that is yet; but if you head to the Loop we'll definitely join there and then ride up to evanston with you guys. as long as we avoiud the LFT that is (it will be a zoo).
