No, this isn't about making direct amends to the people we've harmed whenever doing so is possible and won't injure them or others.
It's about trying to ride to Three Floyds every month this year! Now there's a consistent schedule -- the 4th Saturday of every month -- others have opportunities to lead (I can't make it every time), and you can qualify for the F-12 Award.
September is National Century Month, so this step is a century -- if you ride enough extra to and from the start. The ride takes the lakefront trail south from the Clock Tower. You can join up anywhere along the trail. Just let the group know where so they can look for you.
35 miles to Three Floyds + 10 miles to Flossmoor Station = 45 miles. Take the Metra Electric home or ride another 30 miles to Brixie's = 75 miles. Take the BNSF home or ride another 20 miles to Revolution, West Lakeview, and back to the clock tower = 95 miles. 15-18 mph. Bring money, government-issued ID, a lock, lights since we're staying out late, water and snacks to have en route, and panniers for beer you can't get in Chicago.
Online resources: Google map, cue sheet, Flossmoor Metra Electric train schedule, Brookfield BNSF train schedule, Metra policy, and, to save a minute at the start, the nifty online CCC waiver.

Can I meet you guys at Floyd's (time)?? If you txt me sometime in morn I can get there first and reserve the number of seats.
Are you really planning to leave the Clock Tower at 7:30?
but wait, tomorrow turns out to be their "Imperial Oak-toberfest" with food by not only The Pierogi Wagon but also Burger Antics, music by Jonas Friddle and his Jug band (2pm), and of course beer (“Barrel Aged Udder Maddness” Whiskey Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout, “Das Boot” Oktoberfest Bier, & “Dark Gourd” Pumpkin Ale)
i remember now, someone got food, but it wasn't from there, but the gas station up at the road
expecting to arrive before then. leaving a half hour early just in case!
What time do you expect to arrive at 3 Floyds? it's opening time... 11am?
we could do all 3, to fortify ourselves for the home stretch
at buckledown?
i think the pirogi wagon is scheduled to be there from 12-5
