Description

Join the Kidical Mass for a slow, easy-going, fun, group ride focused on kids (all ages) and families that will tour the Palmer Square and Logan Square neighborhoods.

Gather in the center of Palmer Square Park by 10:30, for an 11am departure.

This will be a holiday themed ride. Even grinches like me can don their best santa/dreidel/elf wear for a morning of silliness and mirth. I'll be bringing decorations for the bikes and kiddos so we can ride in style.

Ride Guidelines
Please wear helmets and ride safely.
Rides are typically 4 miles at a 5-6 mph pace, roughly 1 hour with stops.
Rides are suitable for children who have progressed beyond training wheels.
Younger children are welcome on trail-a-bikes, child trailers and child seats of their parent's bike.
Festive dress and decorations encouraged.
It is expected that all kids bring a parent or guardian.

Open to all, invite your friends to join us!

Above is a link to the planned route. The paths within Palmer Square are iced over so if we want to do the normal once around the park to wait for straddlers we'll need to do it on the road through Kedzie on the north side and around to the south side before heading down Sacramento.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for what looks to be a moist ride.

I don't have a route planned yet. I'd like to go through Humboldt Park but if there's snow on the ground the park staff is not great about shoveling the pathways. Anyone have a back up plan?
