Description

Saturday June 6 we're biking from Chicago to Indiana Dunes!
Riders meet up 7am Saturday morning at Buckingham Fountain. Leaving promptly at 8am, will be a relaxed ride, we're taking mostly bike trails.
We're camping out Saturday night and then leaving whenever Sunday.
Please RSVP if you're joining us...need a number so we can get a camp space.

For weekends at the state park you have to reserve 2 nights. As of this very moment, they have 6 sites available, $25.50 per night. Two tents per site, six people total per site.

phone # 866-622-6746 or camp.in.gov to reserve.

I say we make a decision quickly to confirm who's going and then start reserving sites. Another option is to take our chances and try to get a site the day of, but I'm told both the state and the national park fill up fast in the summer.

Comment by Brett Ratner on May 19, 2009 at 6:35am: I did some looking into reservations. The national park does not take reservations. The state park does take reservations. I'm having a hard time booking a large site for a group. We might want to make individual reservations. Two tents per site.
