“Use the Illinois Prairie Path Days.” Enjoy any or all of the 62 miles of the Illinois Prairie Path while celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Path during the weekend September 28-30. Monday September 30 marks the actual 50th birthday of the nations first and oldest rails trails. Meet members of the Illinois Prairie Path Not-For-Profit Corporation’s Board at the Path’s Mile Marker 0, in Wheaton, on both September 28 & 29 from 10:30am to 12:30pm to hand out bottles of water and greet people using the Path. On Sunday September 29 visit with the Trail Riders of DuPage in Warrenville at 9am meet with horsemen to learn how to enjoy the trail with our four legged friends. More info at info@trod.us Afterwards enjoy a bike ride to the IPP 50th in downtown Wheaton.
