Hub Bearing Overhaul and replacement

We will cover both adjustable and cartridge bearing hubs. In class you will learn there are two major adjustments for all hubs. We will test how to adjust for the Quick Release lever as it changes friction on both adjustable and cartridge bearing. This is a science based class. We will test myths and bust them on Quick Release Levers, grease additives, bearing qualities, what causes the most amount of friction, how to make micro adjustments to achieve a perfect adjustment every time, in seconds. 

We will use geometry, physics, moment of inertia, compressional tests of materials, to prove and disprove beliefs on hub adjustment. We will prove whether an axle or the adjusting or lock nut compress when either a axle nut or a quick release lever are tightened to the correct values. We have both tests and photographic proof of what changes in a hub. At the end of class you will not guess how to achieve a perfect adjustment with either a QR or a nut. You will know how to do both,,, quickly.
