Yeah...no thank you. It was a great day and a very nice hill indeed. One has to go to Valpo to get such an experience over here.

donna thanks for the tip. but edgebrook or edgewood? you guys are doing a great job with wright!

not having heard from serge, and since they don't look too different below, i'm thinking willow springs.

Any idea when you might hit Imperial Oak? Noon-ish?

I'm thinking of riding out the Cal-Sag trail from IN.

If you go across Harding, brainard Is under construction for sewer replacement. Run our has it once the new sewers are in they will be repairing the road. Last week it had gravel patches in it between Harding & Ogden , hence the suggestion for Edgebrook.

Reason to avoid Ogden west of 1st ave is that it becomes a busy commercial stretch , other routes further north coming out of iriverside have much less traffic & are more interesting rides IMHO.

Bob, Wright ride went very well. We had ~500 riders! Ride out to Argonne(60 mile route) & then bluff road loop(70 mile route) were very well attended.

I agree that Wolf isn't very much further. Willow Springs and East Ave don't have much of a shoulder, but traffic isn't bad on weekends and I've never had a problem. I did go that way once during weekday afternoon rush hour and I wouldn't recommend it. If Wolf has a better shoulder or less traffic, I will try that route next time.

Bob - yes, you would go past the movie theater, under I-55 & I-294, and around the UPS facility.

Its only slightly out of the way.  Maybe about half a mile.  Does Willow Springs have a decent shoulder?  I know it would have more traffic than Wolf.
