I would love to meet you.  (I know Serge, and am always happy to see him.) But you fellows don't want to ride with me!  I will be averaging about 12 to 12.5

For further identification, I will be riding my relatively new Long Haul Trucker.  It is the smallest size they make and is a pearl color with black fenders.  Look for the short person on the short bike just moseying along!

If it is not too hot, I can wear mine.  I just hate cotton when it gets hot.  (Hint, hint, Julie--we need those jerseys :-))

Mike, I will definitely be there!  I am thinking of picking it up at North and State around 6:45 to 7:00.  Maybe we should have signs that say "I'm on the Chainlink"!

For me, getting up early is the easiest part!

Getting up early's going to be the hardest part.  Kind of like driving once you get going time just sort of disappears, and unless you're killing yourself the distance doesn't make a big difference since it's so level around here.

Mike, I'm really excited about the samosas but not much else.  I'll be interested to hear your review, though.  See you there!

I know I can do the 62, but I am not so sure about riding 9 miles to the start and 9 miles home on top of it.  Any rules against join the route on the near north side at about 7:00?  I have my rider number, helmet sticker and punch card already. Then I would probably end up with just a little over 62 miles for the day and won't collapse on the way home.

So I got the route book last week and followed the course today from Granville up north, down to the start, and back to my place.  Using my phone the total distance was just under 65 miles.  The map does a good job describing just about the entire route, and spray paint markings are already up in some areas.

I signed up for the 62 mile ride.  Couple that to the 11 mile ride to the start from my house it looks like a long day.
