No, this isn't about admitting to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
It's about trying to ride to Three Floyds every month this year. Now there's a consistent schedule -- the 4th Saturday of every month -- others have opportunities to lead (I can't make it every time), and you can qualify for the F-12 Award.
The ride takes the lakefront trail south from the Clock Tower. You can join up anywhere along the trail. Just let the group know where so they can look for you.
45 miles total if you take the Metra back, 70 if you ride both ways. 16-19 mph. I like to get there before they open at noon (it's the third-best brewery in the world, so sometimes there's a line). Bring money, government-issued ID, a lock, water and snacks to have en route, and panniers for beer you can't get in Chicago.
Online resources: Google map, cue sheet, Metra schedule, Metra rules, and, to save a minute at the start, the nifty online CCC waiver.

new since last time:
Out of town, unfortunately.
apparently no one rode last month, so it's back to square one = f-0 for all of us
37.8 today, my first real ride since my accident. took it easy for the first 25. the ankle still works! i think i'll make it next week.
serge, great idea, but i said i'd meet a friend at goose island.
It's been awhile, going to try to make this.
bob- i can ride sweep with you. im pretty awesome at that.
ifi, i consider one necessary, but others don't. someone else might have a lock that accommodates your bike, or you might be willing to risk leaving it unlocked (it's been done).
serge, thanks for passing that on. :-) it's the end of an era. :-(
i still haven't been on my bike since my accident. i'm hopeful that i'll still be able to do this ride, but i might be the sweep.
Is the bike lock necessary or a recommendation?
